Did the Flying Burrito Brothers support them at this show?
That's a show I would give anything to have seen.

Maybe we can go together on a Journey through the past?

Here's a note I found for you:

"Flying Burrito Brothers - Long Black Limousine

By Jake Brown

August 23, 2007

MP3: The Flying Burrito Brothers - "Long Black Limousine" (live) from Gram Parsons Archives Vol. 1: The Flying Burrito Brothers "Live" at the Avalon 1969, due October 30 on Amoeba Records. The MP3 is only available through August 30, so get it while you can.

The two-disc, 27-track set includes a number of rarities from shows that featured the Burritos opening for the Grateful Dead on April 4, 5 and 6, 1969 at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco. The shows were recorded by the legendary sound engineer/chemist Owsley "Bear" Stanley and are, according to Amoeba, "the highest quality Gram Parsons live material available"."

Thought it was these shows....I have that CD and it's a great sounding set. Bear did a really good job. The crowd weren't really into it but the band seemed to enjoy themselves.

And if you have a time machine, I'm coming with you!

Oh yeah...Neil has arranged for that:

...Will you think of me
and wonder if I'm fine?
Will your restless heart
come back to mine
On a journey thru the past.
Will I still be in your eyes
and on your mind?

...I will stay with you
if you'll stay with me,
Said the fiddler to the drum,
And we'll keep good time
on a journey thru the past.

...Will I still be in your eyes
and on your mind?
Will I still be in your eyes
and on your mind?
